Hello! My name is DeeAnna Phillips. I love teaching young children and am currently attending Redlands Community College in El Reno, Oklahoma to obtain my associate’s degree in pre-elementary. Later I plan on attending Oklahoma State University to obtain my bachelor’s degree and teaching license.
At Redlands, I have received my Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood Development, and I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa. My sorority nominated me to compete in National American Miss (NAM) state competition in 2023. I was welcomed back to represent Oklahoma in June this year.
Among others, I received the Spirit of Pageantry Award which qualified me to compete at the national level in Orlando, Florida this November. I am trying to raise $12,000 to help with travel, lodging and pageantry expenses. If you would like to help me reach Orlando, there are many ways you can help. NAM has helped increase my self-confidence, raised my community awareness and involvement and overall growth. Competing at nationals will allow me exposure to potential scholarships, modeling opportunities and other job opportunities once I finish college. I am exciting to represent Oklahoma at nationals and cannot wait to see what my future holds.
